Shooting
Sports
This
page is preliminary. Its goal is to identify activities that
can be run at the Pack, Troop, and Crew level along with people who
have the necessary training to run these activities.
Rangemasters is an out of date document
discussing some of Simon Kenton Council's policies regarding Shooting
Sports.
Rather than shoot from the hip (sorry), I'm
going to leave this page incomplete until I have more current
information. If you have information and/or comments appropriate to this page, feel welcome to leave them in the discussion area.
Rangemaster Training
Rangemaster training covers basic aspects of running a BB gun or
archery event for cub scouts. The training takes about 3
hours and is typically held in the spring. Additional
rangemaster trainings are scheduled when needed to qualify rangemasters
for Council or District events. These additional trainings
will be announced at Roundtable and posted on the Buckeye District
website if
possible.
