Volunteer Recognition Dinner

Join
us in recognizing the accomplishments of Unit and District Volunteers for 2007.
Please
take the time to complete the Award Recommendation Form for a Volunteer who has
rendered service to a Cub Pack, Scout Troop, Venture Crew, or District during
the year. This is your way to say “Thank
You” to a leader who has devoted their time and energy to serving the youth of
the District, our children.
BRIDGE BUILDER – Recognition of significant service to Scouting
during the past year at the Unit or District level.
MERITORIOUS SERVICE CERTIFICATE – Recognition of continuing dependable and unselfish
service, above and beyond the average, at the Unit or District level during the
year.
DAVID KATONAK DISTINGUISHED SERVICE
PLAQUE – Recognition of continuing,
distinguished and exceptional service to Scouting during the past several
years.
NATIONAL DISTRICT AWARD OF MERIT – A nominee must be a registered Scouter, must have
rendered noteworthy service to youth in Scouting, outside Scouting or
both. The nature and value of the
“noteworthy service to youth” may consist of a single plan that contributes
vitally to the lives of large numbers of youth or it may be to a small group
over an extended period of time.
Consideration must be given to the nominee’s Scouting position and the
corresponding opportunity to render outstanding service beyond the expectations
of that Scouting position. The nominee’s
attitude toward and cooperation with the District, Division and/or Council is
to be taken into consideration.
LAMP LIGHTER AWARD – Recognition for service above and beyond the
ordinary in revitalizing a dying unit. Given in consultation with the District
Commissioner.
William D. Boyce New-Unit Organizer
Award – Recognition of volunteer
service above and beyond the ordinary in aiding the Unit Organizer in creating
a new unit. Given in consultation with the District Commissioner.
Nominations
must be postmarked, emailed, or in the hands of Alex Protopopow, no later than
8:00 PM, Saturday, December, 15, 2007.
Complete
the form as completely as possible.

and phone numbers. Please be neat and
make sure the form is legible.
