Adult Walkers |
The daycampers are generally divided into dens of 6 to 12
scouts. The den is led by a Den Leader who
is a registered member of the daycamp staff. The scouts are
also accompanied by Adult
Walkers who are generally, but not always parents of one
or more of the scouts.
The Boy Scouts require us to have at least one Adult Walker
for every 6 scouts, so your pack will need to submit adult names in
your applications along with your scouts. We require one
adult
for every 6 scouts, but please feel welcome to send as many adults as
you like. There
is no charge to be an adult walker and the camp staff
prefers man to man over
zone defense,
particularly with the younger scouts.
The Adult Walkers help the Den Leaders lead the scouters from station
to station. Occasionally the adults will be asked to
participate
or help out with activities. Don't panic . . . it's supposed
to
be fun.
