While you won't hear that, you will hear the sounds of Scouts having a
great time racing their vehicles during the 2nd annual Cubmobile Derby
in Worthington this fall!
The Cubmobile Derby is an event where the Cub Scouts of Worthington
Pack 365 race their homemade Cubmobile cars. Each den builds
and paints their own Cubmobile. On race day, the Scouts take
turns being "at the wheel" racing against other dens. The
racing will be fierce in these gravity powered, colorfully painted
wooden cars with hard rubber tires and seeting for one. The
racing is similar to the Pinewood Derby, where cars are made out of a
small block of Pine and raced on a straight track, but now the scouts
are in their cars, and the track is a long hill on a street in
Worthington that has been closed to traffic!
This year's event promises to be even better than last year as we've
extended invitations to other Worthington Packs and Troops to join in
the fun. The green flag drops on Saturday, October 28 at 9:00
a.m.
